Technical architecture and streaming
The system uses a server-client model. The server runs on your VPS and performs the heavy lifting: indexing files, fetching metadata from providers like TheMovieDB, and managing user accounts. When you want to watch a movie, the server delivers the stream to your client. If your client device does not natively support the file's codec, the server performs transcoding. This process converts the video on the fly to a format the device can handle.
