Your AI agent in Discord

Ask it anything with /ask in DMs, group chats and servers. If you run a server, set up channels, roles and events by asking, and turn on a helper that answers your members from the facts you give it.

Uses your Automatio account. The server helper stays off until you switch it on.

#support

@Automatio how do I reset my password in the app?

  • Checked the answers you gave it
  • Replied in the channel, marked as an AI assistant
  • Pinged no one
What it does

For you, and for the server you run

One bot does both: your own agent wherever you chat, and a careful helper for your members.

Your agent, wherever you chat

Use /ask, DM the bot, or right-click a message and choose Ask Automatio. Same account, credits, tools and history as automatio.ai.

Run your server by asking

Ask your agent to create channels and roles, set permissions, moderate, post announcements or plan events.

Nothing risky without your click

Creating a channel, an invite or an event runs straight away. Bans, role changes, posts and the rest wait until you press Approve.

A helper for your members

It answers when mentioned, or when someone asks a question in channels you choose, using a persona and up to 6,000 characters of your own facts.

Requests in one inbox

Let the helper file members' bug reports and requests into your inbox, where your agent can read and close them.

Your moderators can ask too

Name a team, and its members can ask the helper for a fixed set of server changes, with you approving.

Try these

Things to ask

Send them with /ask in Discord, or open them in Automatio. Server changes need the bot in a server you manage.

Research from a DM

The same agent as on automatio.ai, without leaving Discord.

Compare the three most popular open-source note-taking apps on sync, price and platforms, in a table.

Plan a new server

See the plan first; nothing is created until you say so.

Plan channels and roles for a community about [topic]: a welcome area, support, off-topic and a moderators-only channel. Show me the plan before creating anything.

Answer questions in #support

The helper replies from your facts and says it's an AI.

Turn on the helper for [server], have it answer questions in #support, and use these facts: [your facts].

Announce an event

The event is created at once; the announcement waits for your Approve.

Create an event for our community call next Thursday at 18:00 UTC and post an announcement in #news.

Deal with a spammer

Moderation actions wait for your approval.

Time out [member] for 24 hours for spamming in #general.

Check a claim in a message

Right-click the message, choose Apps, then Ask Automatio, and add your question.

Is what this message says accurate? Tell me what's right and what isn't.
Getting started

Set up in three steps

1

Link your Discord

In Automatio, open Integrations and add Automatio to your Discord. That links your account and gives you /ask.

2

Add it to a server

Only if you run one: add the bot to a server you own or manage, from the same page.

3

Ask

Use /ask anywhere, DM the bot, or ask your agent in Automatio to change the server.

Straight answers

What it does and doesn't do

It does

  • Say it's an AI assistant at the end of every helper reply.
  • Answer members only with models that don't train on their messages.
  • Read recent channel messages to answer, without storing them.
  • Go quiet and tell you privately when your credits run out.

It doesn't

  • Post on a schedule without your click.
  • Create threads, pin messages, or set up AutoMod or onboarding.
  • Edit or delete other people's messages.
  • Ping anyone without your approval.

Questions

Do my members need an Automatio account?

No. Members mention the helper or ask in a channel it listens to. Using /ask yourself needs your Automatio account linked.

Who pays for the helper's answers?

The server owner. Each reply and each check of whether to answer uses a small amount of the owner's credits, images cost more, and daily caps per member and per server keep the total in check. When the credits run out the helper goes quiet and tells you privately.

What does the helper read?

The message it's answering and the recent messages in that channel, read when it answers and not stored. If you allow search, it looks through older messages only in that channel and channels every member can read.

Can it change my server without asking?

Creating a channel, an invite or an event runs straight away by default. Everything else waits for your Approve. It never grants Administrator and can't act on anyone whose role is at or above its own.

Can it post on a schedule?

Not on its own. An automated post still waits for you to approve it each time.

Which permissions does it ask for?

What its features use: viewing and sending messages, reading message history, managing channels and roles, moderation, invites and events. It never asks for Administrator, Manage Messages or Mention Everyone.
