Collect bug reports from Discord with Automatio
You can turn on the request inbox tool to let members submit bug reports directly to your AI helper. Your agent reads these reports from the inbox so you can review them and mark them as closed once resolved.
What to ask
Type it in the Automatio chat. Send it as written, or change the details to fit your case.
Read all the bug reports in the helper's request inbox and give me a summary of the three most frequent problems members are reporting.
How it works
- 1
Enable the helper inbox
Go to your helper settings and turn on the helper for members. Enable the request inbox tool to allow it to receive and store reports.
- 2
Set the persona
Give the helper a persona that instructs it to file bug reports into the inbox when a member mentions a technical issue or bug.
- 3
Collect member reports
Members mention the helper or talk to it in designated channels. The helper then files their descriptions as requests in the server's private inbox.
- 4
Read and manage reports
Use the
/askcommand to read the inbox. You can ask your agent to list all reports, summarize them, or close specific entries by describing them.
What you get
Your agent will provide a list or summary of the bug reports stored in the helper's inbox. Each report includes the details provided by the member. You should check the member's name and the specific channel where the report was filed if you need to follow up with them directly.
When you tell the agent to close a report, it marks the entry as finished in the database. These records remain until you close them or the server is unlinked from the account.
Good to know
- The request inbox tool must be enabled by the owner before members can file any reports.
- Members are limited to 5 requests each per day, and the entire server is capped at 50 daily requests.
- All inbox data is permanently deleted if the server is unlinked from the Automatio account.
- The server owner pays credits for every reply the helper generates and for every automated check it performs.
Variations to try
Close specific bugs
Close all the bug reports in the inbox that mention the recent update or server lag.
List all pending items
Show me a full list of all open requests in the helper's inbox including who sent them.
Questions
Do my members need an Automatio account to report bugs?
No, members do not need their own account to use the helper. The server owner pays for the helper's replies and inbox checks using their own credits.
Can I see which channel a bug report came from?
Yes, because the helper reads the recent messages of the channel it is in to answer. You can ask your agent to include the location of the reports when it reads the inbox for you.
Does the AI store these messages for training?
No, only models that do not train on prompts are used to answer members. The bug reports are stored in your server's inbox until they are closed or the server is unlinked, but they are not used to train AI models.
