How it works

Add Automatio to your server
Invite the bot to your server from the Automatio website. Ensure you have the Manage Server permission to link the server to your Automatio account.

Configure helper tools
In the helper settings, enable the web search, X search, and Reddit search tools. You can choose to allow these tools for everyone or restrict them to specific roles.

Set the helper to listen
Select up to 25 channels where the helper will monitor messages. It will automatically answer messages that look like questions using the tools you provided.

Verify member access
Members ask questions naturally in the chosen channels. The helper searches the web or social media and replies with a short summary.
What you get
The helper responds with a concise summary of its findings, capped at 1,500 characters. Every response ends with a mandatory notice stating it is an AI assistant.
Links found during the search are automatically removed from the reply unless you have specifically approved them in your settings. This ensures the helper provides information without directing users to unverified external sites.

- Search of older messages is restricted to the current channel and channels that every member of the server can read.

No, members do not need their own account or credits. The server owner provides the helper and pays for the AI usage through their own Automatio account credits.
Will the helper store my community's messages?
The helper reads recent messages in the channel to understand the context of a question but does not store them. Only models that do not train on your prompts are used to answer members.
Can I prevent the helper from searching certain websites?
The helper automatically removes any links it finds unless you have approved them. While you cannot block specific search results, this ensures no unapproved URLs are shared in your channels.
What is the maximum length of a search-based reply?
All helper replies are kept short, with a maximum length of 1,500 characters. This ensures the assistant remains a helpful chat companion rather than a long-form article generator.
