Download invoices from an online account with Automatio
Ask Automatio to navigate your billing portals and save PDF statements. The agent works in your signed-in browser to access your account, identify the correct documents, and download them to your device.
What to ask
Type it in the Automatio side panel in Chrome, with the page open. Send it as written, or change the details to fit your case.
Go to my billing history at [URL], find every invoice from this year, and download them as PDFs. Use the 'My browser' mode so you can access my account. Please ask for my approval before you start the downloads.
How it works
- 1
Configure browser mode
Open the Automatio side panel and click the agent menu in the chat composer. Select
My browserto let the agent work within your signed-in Chrome session. - 2
Set approval preference
Choose
Ask firstin the agent menu if you want to review and approve the agent's navigation or download actions before they happen. - 3
Send your request
Type your request into the chat, including the specific URL of your billing page and the date range for the invoices you need.
- 4
Monitor the agent
The agent opens a new tab and begins the task. A bar appears at the top of Chrome while it is active; do not dismiss this bar until the task is finished.
What you get
The agent saves the requested files directly to your computer's default downloads folder. It provides a summary of the files it found and any actions it took in the side panel.
You should check your downloads folder to verify that all intended PDFs were captured. Ensure the file sizes are within expected ranges and that no downloads were blocked by site-specific pop-up settings.
Good to know
- The agent only downloads files up to 50 MB and will refuse any executable files.
- You must stay signed into the site in Chrome as the agent cannot bypass your login or password manager.
- The agent works in new tabs it opens itself rather than interacting with your currently open tabs.
- Running the agent in your browser consumes account credits for the AI processing required.
Variations to try
Download recent receipts
Go to my order history on [URL] and download the PDF receipts for every purchase made in the last 30 days.
Filter and save statements
Navigate to the statements page on [URL], filter for 'Paid' invoices only, and download the results for the current quarter.
Collect tax documents
Open [URL], find the tax documents section, and download all available 1099 forms for the 2023 tax year.
Questions
Can the agent log in for me?
No, the agent does not handle your login credentials. You must be signed into the account in your Chrome browser first, and then the agent uses that existing session to access the billing pages.
What happens if a download is too large?
If a single invoice or document exceeds 50 MB, the agent cannot download it. It will also refuse to download any files that are executables for security reasons.
Does it see my other open tabs?
The agent only interacts with the tabs it opens itself during the task. It cannot read or control the existing tabs you already have open in your browser.
How do I stop it if it makes a mistake?
You can stop the agent by clicking the 'Cancel' button in the side panel or by dismissing the 'started debugging' bar at the top of your Chrome window.
