Approve a risky action with Automatio for Telegram

Send sensitive tasks like database queries or server commands to your Automatio agent and authorize them via interactive buttons. You retain control by reviewing the agent's plan and tapping to approve or reject the action directly in your chat.

What to ask

Send it to the Automatio bot in Telegram, or type it in the Automatio chat. Send it as written, or change the details to fit your case.

Log into my server at [IP address] and run a database query to delete all users who have not logged in for over two years. Show me the plan first and wait for my approval before you run any commands.

How it works

  1. 1

    Link your account

Go to Integrations in Automatio, select the Telegram tile, and click Connect to open the bot. Tap Start to link your account using the one-time link.

  2. 2

    Request a risky task

Message the bot in a private chat with a request for a deploy, a server command, or a database query. A "Working on it" message will appear to show progress and tool usage.

  3. 3

    Review the plan

The agent will present its proposed steps. You must review these details carefully before authorizing the agent to proceed with the sensitive operations.

  4. 4

    Authorize using buttons

Tap the Approve or Approve plan button to start the execution. If you decide not to proceed, tap Reject or Change plan to stop the agent.

What you get

The agent provides a plan followed by interactive buttons. Once you tap a button, the "Working on it" message updates to reflect the action taken. You will receive a final confirmation message once the command or query is finished.

You should verify the results by checking the agent's final report. Every reply includes an "Open in Automatio" button if you need to view the full history or technical logs in the web application.

Good to know

  • Risky actions only work in private chats and are not supported in groups or channels.
  • Typed text never approves a task; you must use the provided buttons to authorize the agent.
  • Only the person who started the request can press the approval or rejection buttons.
  • Each run requires at least 100 credits to start in your Automatio account.

Variations to try

Deploy code changes

Deploy the latest changes from my [repository name] GitHub branch to the production server. Wait for me to approve the deployment plan before you start.

Server maintenance

Connect to my VPS and clear the system logs to free up space. List the logs you intend to delete and wait for my approval.

Database schema update

Run a query to add a new column named 'referral_code' to the 'users' table in my database. Do not execute until I tap approve.

Questions

Can I approve a task by typing 'Yes' or 'Go ahead'?

No, the agent ignores typed text for approvals to prevent accidental executions. You must tap the specific buttons like Approve or Approve plan to authorize the agent's work.

What happens if I forward the approval button to someone else?

Only the person who originally sent the request to the bot can press the buttons. Forwarded messages operate in a read-only mode where the agent can only search or read information.

How much does it cost to run these actions?

Each task run requires a minimum of 100 credits from your Automatio account to begin. The final cost depends on the model you chose and the tools the agent uses to complete the work.

Can I see the results of a scheduled command in Telegram?

No, results from scheduled automations or background tasks are not sent to the Telegram bot. You must check the Automatio web app to see the outcomes of those specific tasks.
