Analyze a CSV file with Automatio for Telegram

You send a CSV file to the Automatio bot as an attachment and ask your agent to find insights, calculate totals, or filter rows. The bot processes the data using your account's tools and model, returning the results directly in the chat.

What to ask

Send it to the Automatio bot in Telegram, or type it in the Automatio chat. Send it as written, or change the details to fit your case.

Analyze this [sales_report.csv] and tell me the total revenue for October. Then, list the top three products by quantity sold and format it as a table.

How it works

  1. 1

    Connect the bot

In your Automatio account, go to Integrations, find the Telegram tile, and tap Connect. This opens the bot in Telegram; tap Start to link your accounts.

  2. 2

    Prepare your data

Ensure your spreadsheet is in CSV, txt, or json format, as the bot cannot read Excel or Word files. The file must be under 20 MB.

  3. 3

    Upload and ask

In the private chat with the bot, attach your CSV file. Write your specific request or question in the caption field before sending.

  4. 4

    Monitor progress

A Working on it message will appear, showing the tools the agent uses to read the file. You can tap Check status to see current progress.

What you get

The agent returns a text reply with the findings from your file. If you asked for a list or comparison, the bot uses bold text and code blocks for clarity. Tables are presented as fixed-width text blocks.

Every reply includes an Open in Automatio button so you can see the full analysis in your browser. If the agent needs to perform a risky action like updating a database based on the CSV, it will present Approve or Reject buttons that you must tap to proceed.

Good to know

  • Files must be 20 MB or smaller.
  • You cannot send Excel (.xlsx) or Word (.docx) files; export them to CSV first.
  • The task requires at least 100 credits in your Automatio account to begin.
  • The bot only processes files sent in a private one-on-one chat, not in groups.

Variations to try

Filter and export

Look at [inventory.csv] and list all items where the stock level is below 10. Give me the results as a JSON block.

Compare multiple files

I am attaching [july_leads.csv] and [august_leads.csv]. Identify which email addresses appear in both files.

Summarize trends

Read [customer_feedback.csv] and summarize the top three most common complaints mentioned in the comments column.

Questions

Can I send a voice note to explain the CSV?

No, the bot does not support voice notes today. You must type your instructions in the caption of the file or as a separate text message.

What happens to the files I upload?

Files are copied to your Automatio account storage and count toward your plan's storage limit. They are kept in your chat history until you delete them.

Does this work in Telegram groups?

It does not. The bot only responds in private chats to ensure your data and credits remain under your direct control.

Why did the bot say it cannot read my Excel file?

Automatio for Telegram does not support Word or Excel formats. Open your file in your spreadsheet software and save it as a CSV before sending it to the bot.
