Use an AI assistant in Automatio for Telegram
Send research tasks, files, or image requests to your Automatio agent through a private Telegram chat. The bot uses your account's tools, connected apps, and chosen model to complete tasks and provide buttons for approvals.
What to ask
Send it to the Automatio bot in Telegram, or type it in the Automatio chat. Send it as written, or change the details to fit your case.
Search for the latest news on [topic] from Reddit and X, then summarize the top three trends into a table. Check my Gmail for any recent mentions of these trends and let me know if I have any meetings tomorrow related to them.
How it works
- 1
Connect the bot
In Automatio, go to Integrations, select Chat apps, find the Telegram tile, and tap Connect to open the bot with a one-time link.
- 2
Link your account
Tap Start in the Telegram bot within 10 minutes to confirm the connection; the bot will send a confirmation once linked.
- 3
Send a task
Type a plain message or attach up to 5 files to start a task; use
/newfor a fresh chat or/chatsto see recent web sessions. - 4
Approve actions
Watch the Working on it message for status updates and press the Approve or Reject buttons when the agent requests permission for risky tasks.
What you get
You receive a response with formatted text, including bolding and fixed-width tables for data. If the agent performs a search or reads your apps, it updates a status message with the tools used and the time elapsed.
Images arrive as photos, while other generated files appear as links. Every reply includes an Open in Automatio button to view the full chat and its history on the web.
Good to know
- The bot only works in private chats and will not respond in groups or channels.
- You cannot send voice notes or upload Microsoft Word and Excel files.
- A minimum of 100 credits is required in your Automatio account to start any task.
- Results from background automations or scheduled tasks stay in the web app and are not sent to Telegram.
Variations to try
Analyze an attachment
Read this attached PDF and list the three main takeaways as a table, then check my Google Drive for any files that contradict these points.
Generate visual media
Create an image of a futuristic city with vertical gardens and solar panels, then generate a 5-second video showing a fly-through of the streets.
Continue a web chat
Use `/chats` to see my last five conversations, then let me continue the discussion about the marketing project I started on my computer.
Questions
Does this use ChatGPT?
The bot uses the specific AI model you have selected in your Automatio account settings. It accesses your same credits, chat history, and any tools or MCP servers you have connected to your account.
Can I use it for free?
No, every message you send uses your Automatio account credits. You must have at least 100 credits available to start a task, and generating images or videos costs additional credits beyond the agent's basic work.
How are my files handled?
Files you send to the bot are copied to your Automatio account and count toward your plan's storage limit. You can send up to 5 files per message, including PDFs, photos, and CSVs, but they must be under 20 MB each.
Is my Telegram data private?
The bot only receives the specific messages and files you send to it in your private chat. Your message content is not used to train AI models, and disconnecting the bot with /disconnect immediately removes the link to your account.
