Forward emails with a note using Automatio for Gmail
Ask the agent to find a specific message and forward it to a recipient with your added comments. You get a confirmation of the sent email or a draft created in your Gmail account for review.
What to ask
Type it in the Automatio chat. Send it as written, or change the details to fit your case.
Find the email from [Name] with the subject [Subject] and forward it to [email@address.com] with a note saying: Here is the thread we discussed earlier today.
How it works
- 1
Connect Gmail
Go to Integrations, select the Gmail tile, and sign in with Google to grant access.
- 2
Identify the email
Tell the agent which email to find using the sender, subject, or Gmail search syntax in the chat.
- 3
Provide the note and recipient
Input the email address of the recipient and the specific text you want to include as your note.
- 4
Choose to send or draft
Ask the agent to send the forward immediately or to create a draft so you can review it in Gmail first.
What you get
The agent confirms the action in the chat. If you asked to send, the recipient receives the email body with your note prepended.
Check your Sent folder to see the final message or your Drafts folder if you asked for a draft. Note that original attachments will not be present in the forwarded message.
Good to know
- Original attachments are not included when forwarding a message.
- Forwarding an email costs 1 credit on top of the AI's usage.
- The agent cannot send from an email alias or change your Gmail signature.
- Sending happens immediately unless you specifically ask for a draft.
Variations to try
Forward as a draft
Find the unread email from [Sender] about [Topic] and create a draft to forward it to [Address] with this note: [Note Text].
Forward by search syntax
Search for emails with the label [Label Name] from the last [Number] days and forward the most recent one to [Address] with the note: [Note Text].
Questions
Does it forward the original attachments?
No, the original attachments are not forwarded. Only the text body of the email and your custom note are sent to the recipient.
How much does it cost?
Forwarding, sending, or replying to an email costs 1 credit. This is in addition to the credits consumed by the AI model for the conversation.
Can I review the note before it goes out?
Yes, ask the agent to create a draft instead of sending. This puts the message in your Gmail Drafts folder for you to check manually.
Is my email used for AI training?
No, Gmail data is not used to train AI models. Automatio follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
