Get a daily email digest with Automatio for Gmail
Ask the agent to find and summarize your emails from the last 24 hours on a repeating schedule. You receive a single briefing in your inbox or chat, so you can stay updated without checking every individual message.
What to ask
Type it in the Automatio chat. Send it as written, or change the details to fit your case.
Every morning at 8 AM, find all unread emails from the last 24 hours, summarize the main points and action items, and email that summary to [my-email@address.com] with the subject 'Daily Briefing'.
How it works
- 1
Connect your account
Go to the Integrations section in Automatio, select Apps, click the Gmail tile, and sign in with your Google account.
- 2
Propose the schedule
Type your request in the chat, such as
every morning at 8am, email me a summary of unread mail from yesterday. The agent will reply with a plan and a credit budget. - 3
Enable the automation
The agent creates the task in a paused state. Navigate to the Automations page in the sidebar and press Resume to allow it to run on your schedule.
What you get
Every time the schedule triggers, the agent reads the specified messages and generates a summary. It then sends an email to the address you provided and posts a report of the run into the chat where you created the automation.
You should check the first few reports to ensure the AI correctly identifies the action items you need. If the digest is too long, you can ask the agent to adjust the summary style or filter for specific senders.
Good to know
- Automations are skipped while your credit balance is under 1,000 credits.
- Sending the digest email adds 1 credit to the cost of the AI's usage.
- Scheduled runs must be at least 5 minutes apart.
- You can maintain up to 20 automations at one time.
Variations to try
Weekly project summary
Every Friday at 5 PM, find all emails with the label [Project Name] received this week, summarize their status, and email it to me.
Daily attachment log
Every morning, find emails from the last 24 hours that have attachments, list the file names and senders, and send me a digest email.
Questions
Can I review the digest before it sends?
The agent sends emails immediately when the schedule triggers. If you want to review them first, ask the agent to create a draft in your Drafts folder instead of sending a finished email.
Is my Gmail data used for training?
No, your information is not used to train AI models. Automatio follows Google's Limited Use requirements and the access token is held by an integration service rather than stored in your chats.
What happens if I run out of credits?
The automation will skip runs if your balance falls below 1,000 credits. Reading your mail adds nothing to the base AI cost, but each digest sent adds 1 credit.
