Memory
What the agent remembers about you, and how to change it.
The agent learns lasting facts about you from what you type, in the background, and uses them in later chats. It keeps facts about you rather than the details of one project. What you say while memory is off is not saved.
Seeing and changing it
The page is in the account menu, item Memory; the page lists what the assistant has saved about you.
- Collect & recall memories turns memory on or off for your account.
- Extracted Facts and Sources show what was saved and where it came from. You can search both.
- Add saves something yourself.
- Deleting a source removes everything learned from that conversation.
- Clear All removes everything.
For one chat
The agent panel has a Memory switch for the chat you are in. It shows only while the Tools switch is on. A chat with tools off uses no memory.
Keeping a chat apart
Open the ... menu on a chat in the sidebar and choose Hide from agents. No other chat can find or read it or its project, and nothing from it is saved to memory. Show to agents undoes it.
The agent panel also has Other chats & projects, which decides whether this chat's agent may look at your other chats: Off, Ask first or Allow.
Temporary chats are never remembered. See Chats.
