Copy a Google Sheets template with Automatio

You can ask the agent to duplicate an existing spreadsheet and populate the new copy with specific data. The agent creates the file in your Google Drive and confirms the link in the chat.

How it works

    Connect Google Sheets

    Open Integrations, select the "Google Drive & Sheets" tile, and sign in with your Google account to grant access.

    Send the template link

    Paste the link of the spreadsheet you want to copy into the chat and explain what information the agent should fill into the new rows or ranges.

    Review the new spreadsheet

    The agent will copy the template to your Drive, update the cells as requested, and post the link to the new sheet in your conversation.

What you get

You will receive a link to a new Google Sheet that is an exact duplicate of your template, including its tabs and formulas. The specific cells or rows you mentioned will be filled with the data you provided. Check the link to ensure the file is named correctly and the values appear in the right ranges.

Good to know

  • The agent cannot add or rename tabs in a spreadsheet after it has been created.
  • Copying a spreadsheet and updating a range each add 1 credit to the cost of the AI usage.
  • The agent finds sheets you have previously opened through Automatio, but you must paste the link for any other template.
  • Automatio cannot format cells, add charts, or set up filters in the new copy.

Questions

Can I add a new tab while copying the template?

No, the agent cannot add or rename tabs in an existing spreadsheet or a copy it just made. You should ensure your template has all the tabs you need before asking the agent to copy it.

Where is the new spreadsheet saved?

The agent creates the copy in your Google Drive. It will provide the link in the chat immediately after it finishes copying and updating the data.

How much does it cost to copy a template?

Copying a spreadsheet adds 1 credit to the AI's usage cost. If you also ask the agent to fill in values, each update to a range or row adds another 1 credit.

Does Automatio use my spreadsheet data to train AI?

No. Automatio follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, and your data is not used to train AI models.
